Ideally, replacement mortar should match existing mortar as closely as possible with respect to color, texture, and strength. No attempt should be made to add strength by increasing the cement content over that found in the original mortar; this can result in a brittle repair that is susceptible to cracking and spalling (further deterioration). We specialize in all types of masonry repairs for both residential and commercial applications. If it is made of brick, block or stone we can repair it. Broken or damaged bricks, blocks or stone can be repaired with a process called tuck pointing. This is a method used to repair and restore the mortar joints between bricks or stones. The finished product is virtually indistinguishable from the original joints.
